Individuals Dealing with Disaster
Support Offered
  • Disaster Recovery Allowance – a taxable allowance available for up to 13 weeks if your income has been directly affected by the fires.
  • Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment – a one off payment if the bushfires have significantly affected you. Payment does not cover those who suffered minor damage or inconvenience.
  • Bushfire Recovery Access Program – Free counselling and mental health treatments.
